Just finished this movie. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone even mildly interested in Kuti. It’ll give you a much better understanding of his music.

turnmyheadintosound replied to your post “Very happy about a new Mount Eerie album and tour. Very unhappy about…”

It is unacceptable

Agreed. Let’s start a petition.

You may remember Pseudo Color (aka Keron Robinson of Kennesaw, GA) from last year’s Halloween comp, and now he’s back with a new EP, The Future Was Then, which we’ll be releasing on September 9th.

Keron uses his music as a space for confession and self-therapy, and the result is catchy, noisy bedroom pop. These five songs (and cassette exclusive sound collage) are connected by “the realization that nothing really changes,” which can be heard in the layers of repetition he builds and destroys.

Pre-orders start September 2nd and are limited to 25 translucent blue cassettes. Check out the first track “Joliet (Loud)” below:

The Future Was Then:
1. Joliet (Loud)
2. Stuck
3. July 7
4. Stranger
5. Joliet (Quiet)
6. Sound (Mar-Apr ‘14) (cassette only)

So this is the project that stressed me out over the course of this past summer. Now that I’m a month removed from it and laughed through the whole thing thanks to youtube’s automated captions, I am posting it here. If you’re curious about a couple cool Atlanta groups, maybe it’s a decent watch.

But in other news, I should have some interesting (at least I think it is) info to share tomorrow.
